The Madhesh Agricultural University (MAU) has been established on 13 th December, 2021 (27 Mansir 2078 BS) at Rajbiraj of Saptari in Madhesh Province of Nepal. This is the first autonomous agricultural university in Madhesh province, established by Madhesh Province Parliament as Madhesh Agricultural University Act 2079 (Province Agricultural University Ordinance 2078)

This university works for basic science research for knowledge generation and development of skilled human resources through education in agriculture sector. The Madhesh Agricultural University is premier institute for higher education, research and extension in the field of agriculture.
